I have been a participant in Woopra’s beta tests. At the Beginning starting to use Woopra analytics software, I was amazed by the user interface and comprehensive features that this new real- web analytics software had. Since then I have tested Woopra’s advanced features and found them very helpful for tracking & analyzing websites stats. The main advantage the Woopra has over competitive web analytics software, is that it offers live tracking web statistics, which tracks your website’s visitor footprints and displays them almost immediately onto Woopra’s web analytics console.

SaaS or Software Analytics Solutions
Woopra has two types of user interfaces, one implemented as an online service (SaaS) and the other as a desktop client software. Woopra is one of the pioneers to release a full scale advanced real-time web analytical tool to the market, even though that there are other ‘mass market’ live analytics tools out there, but are not that robust in comparison to Woopra live web analytics solution (except for the enterprise products, which are also much more expensive).
Just to clear something up, when we say ‘real-time’ , you should know that the detailed reports aren’t really in ‘Real-time’, rather takes a few seconds to reach the customer’s desktop client. Of course the reason for that, is that it takes some for the data to reach Woopra’s servers and until it reaches the clients’ desktop software. Never less, it provides an up-to-the-minute & detailed view of your website’s visitors.
Real-time Analytics
Woopra is not the only player in the field of Realtime (live) web analytics solution for tracking visitors’ information using Javascript code. Omniture SiteCatalyst, WebTrends Analytics 9 and Net Applications HitsLink all offer very comprehensive real-time analytics software, but their prices are much higher and therefore, tagged under ‘Enterprise Web Analytics Solutions‘, rather than a product, which will appeal to the mass market or many small-medium sized online businesses.
So why use Real-time web analytics at all?
Whether they are Software-as-a-Service solutions or Software products, all web analytics software reveals valuable data. That data enables every web analytics expert, the ability to make smart marketing decisions, based on information, which was retrieved few seconds ago. This prevents you making conclusions on old statistic data, which probably not relevant for the current state.
Another advantage of using Woopra web analytics solution, is that you can really view the visitor’s browsing through your sites. You can see every page they visit, how much time they stay on each page, and what they are doing, all this in real time (almost). The ability to keep track of visitor’s behavior, gives you the ability to monitor trends in search and traffic patterns more easily. Of course there is more than that.
Here is an insight short video review about Woopra:

Simple & Intuitive UI
One of the coolest features that I like about Woopra, is that you can see an indicator on the map when someone enters your website. The simple and intuitive UI really makes using Woopra Analytics solution, a joy. Woopra’s SaaS analytics section is less robust than the software solution, but it is there if you need to connect to your account from any computer and Internet connection.
There you have it, a real-time web analytics solution that really emphasizes on user experience, but what about the price?

Compared to Google Analytics
Overall, I had a great experience using Woopra analytics and the beta works slick and smooth. If you compare Google Analytics vs Woopra, you can see that Google is a more mature product with many new advanced features, and as a SaaS analytic solution, it offers a seamless integration with other Google products, like Google Adwords. I installed Woopra JavaScript code on websites, one was based on Joomla, the other one was a Wordpress blog (using woopra Wordpress plugin) and the other three were regular websites I have developed. The stats were very accurate when I did compare Woopra statistics to Google analytics.
One advantage that I was really glad to see on Woopra, is the fact that you can see the specific full URL backlink (what’s missing in Google Analytics) that the user came from, even with parameters. Being able to see who linked to your blog or website, can be very important in order to understand and plan your marketing strategies.
Integrated Chat Solution
Woopra’s chat is kind of a gimmick than a really professional chat solution that you can administrate and cannot compete with dedicated chat support solutions, but it is there when you need it. Of course the main reason why choosing Woopra over other solutions is real-time stats.
Easy Installation
Installing Woopra is a breeze, and if you installed Google Analytics before, you’ll have no to understand how to implement the code. If you want special installation solution like Woopra plugin for wordpress, you should check out Woopra installation guides on Woopra official site. In there you can found detailed instructions on how to install the code on phpBB, Wordpress, bbPress, Joomla!, Blogger, tumblr, cakephp, mediaWiki and many other popular platforms.
Woopra iPhone App
Furthermore, Woopra will be releasing a new Woopra iPhone app shortly (around May, 2010) and submit it to Apple iTunes store. So there will be more features and extensions, which will released very soon. For staying up-to-date with the latest news, reviews, how-to’s, articles & tips, make sure that you visit Woopra’s blog page from time to time.
Summary
If you are searching for a comprehensive, easy-to-use & affordable real-time analytics solution for your website, blog or e-commerce online business, there is a really unique and brilliant solution for you, which is called Woopra. Being able to see real-time stats , really gives you a chance to understand trends as they happen and to react to them in immediately. Installing Woopra real-time analytics solution is very easy and using the software & the SaaS solution are both very intuitive, even if you haven’t had the chance to use any other Analytics product before.
Woopra supplies all the relevant information on their website & blog, in order to give you a quick start. Woopra’s UI is very simple and joyful to use. Woopra’s Javascript tracker works smoothly without slowing your website down. Viewing visitor, system, pages, referrers, & searches information, all in real-time, really will help you make smart marketing decisions.
You have the ability to engage user’s with interactive textual chat very quickly using Woopra’s built-in chat feature. You can use the map to graphically see visitors’ traffic into your website. It is a really cool feature. There are many more options like tagging & tracking specific visitors, filtering option, etc. There is really no other Analytics software like Woopra which offer such a complete small-business analytics packages in such a low price and offer such great user interface, which goes with it. Some maybe will call some of Woopra’s features a gimmick, but between us, when you start using it, you don’t wanna stop, it is a very attractive and addictive piece of software.
