How to View web statistic reports in Personyze?

in Personyze

Today I’ve received a fundamental questions from user on how to view custom and pre-defined web statistics reports in Personyze web analytics. Custom reports is one of the most powerful tools on this system. The flexibility is probably endless, unless I’ve missed something. I won’t get into the advanced custom pages editing facilities, but show you the basic of viewing and editing custom reports within the system.

When you first logged in to Personyze you need to choose the Profile that you want to work with. Use the drop down list to choose the appropriate account. After you’ve chosen the profile, click the ‘GO’ button to go to that account’s Dashboard area. Personyze’s web analytics dashboard area is a place where you view you website statistics, whether its charts or tabular data or both.

There are two ways to view pre-defined and custom reports:

  1. View web statistics reports and charts through dashboard widgets
  2. View web statistics reports by clicking on their name inside the left sidebar panel
  3. View web statistics reports by viewing them in the report creation process

1) View reports and charts through dashboard widgets

This option is very straight forward and offers as part of the dashboard customization process. Click the ‘Widgets’ combo box under the current active tab (You can add unlimited number of widgets per tab and add unlimited number of tabs). You can choose from various options here: Reports, chart, small report, business intelligence, report with chart or live visits. Another option is to choose pre-defined widgets that match current pre-defined reports. Those will be presented as tabular data or chart in the dashboard’s current active tab.

Here is how a tabular data report widget looks on the dashboard:

2) View reports by clicking on their name inside the left sidebar panel

Another way to quickly view reports is to click the desired report on the left sidebar. The right side bar exists because it offers an easy access to those pre-defined and custom web statistics reports. When you create a new report or edit current web stats report, you can assign it to a specific category of your choice. You can put it on an already exist category or create a new category/subcategory of your own. The newly created category will appear on the right web statistics ‘Report list’ side bar, and the newly created reports will appear underneath it.

To view any report, simply open the appropriate category and choose the desired web stats report that you wish to view.  The report will be open inside the main frame of Personyze web analytics.

3) View reports by viewing them in the report creation process

You can also view web stats custom reports when you first create them using the ‘Custom reports’ builder. In order to create a new report, simply click the ‘Custom reports’ link that can be found on the bottom-left place on the left sidebar. After that you will be inside the custom reports section. Now click the ‘Create New Report’ button to create a new report. A new report tab will be created (blue tab with a ‘New report’ title).

You can see that there are several ways to view reports within Personyze. I personally mostly use the Dashboard area to view my most useful web stats reports (that’s the reason they are appear on my dashboard in the first place).

If you have any questions, please ask them below. Thanks.
