   I have been looking to try a new web analytics software for my new blog. My blog about books. I am affiliated with Amazon book store and I want the best possible solution to maximize revenue from Amazon affiliate program. I am using Woopra at the moment, but I doesn't give me the right tools that I need. I will try to explain.

   I have been using Amazon API to display updated prices of books in every review that I am writing about. The problem is that I want a SaaS web analytics solution that will help me out track prospects and funnels of those prospects. In Google Analytics for example, you can create a landing page for the Goal in which you want to collect data about. I am using both Adwords PPC campaigns and also affiliate links in my blog it self. I wanted to know is there any web analytics solutions that can provide a better insight for conversion that comes from inside my blog and PPC campaigns? - The problem is that I don't have a landing page to define goal for, because I use it with AJAX.

   The best SaaS web analytics solution will be one that I can add server side code to (not only client site Javascript code) and I can track the conversion (goal) as it happens on the server. I prefer also the ability to track logged-in customers conversions if possible. Furthermore, I want to be able to save the member's funnel in order to know the best path that leads to more conversions, so I can optimize my website design accordingly. Currently I am using Woopra and Clicky for my blogs, and I will like to know what are the best e-commerce SaaS web analytics solution out there. Any link to reviews, articles or comparison site will be great.

   E-commerce Tracking

   The term is 'e-commerce Tracking'. If I had to choose between several web analytics solutions for my e-commerce blogs, I would probably picked up Google Analytics. You should become familiar with some advanced tool that Google Analytics offers that will allow you to track every transaction made within your website/blog.

   Google Analytics allows you to track transaction data and even item data. In Google's Analytics blog there is an article called "How to Use ECommerce Tracking in Google analytics". It give you a step-by-step instructions of how the data is collected:

   [Broswer] Visitor submits transaction
   [You Server] Processes the transcation, format receipt page, insert transcation data into GA JS
   [Receipt Page] Special GA Code
   [GA Server] The transaction data is being transferred to Google Analytics' server.

   There are very informative articles on how to implement e-commerce tracking using Google Analytics, and I suggest that you read those articles first and see if the solution fits you needs:

   Read the articles: How it works and follow the other free chapters (Installation & Setup, Why Everyone Should Use It, Tracking Lead Gen Forms).

   After reading those articles, you should further understand how to keep the data as accurate as possible. You need to take into consideration: canceled orders, missing transactions, code placement, cross domain tracking, etc.

   Another thing, some people want to implement a 'Server-side' Analytics solution only, because they want to keep their transaction and sales data private.
