I don't know why you are so upset, Yahoo web analytics is a fine product, but there are so many free and low cost analytics products that can really help you get better insight, even if compared to YWA. I have personally tried BTBuckets and GoingUp, and I found them very useful for many of my online business needs. Today many of them offers: Segmentation, custom reports, dynamic content delivery according to behavioral targeting of the visitor and much more.
I mean, I know that some of them look better in terms of UI, but at the end, most of them are alike. There isn't any one technology that was used to create a truly unique product. All web analytics software, at least the real-time SaaS products, are very capable ones. I think the only company who really made a change was Webtrends. I mean, the best product is the one that is modular, and lets you add special web analytics modules like: mobile analytics, facebook analytics and other features, according to your business needs.
You get it when you want it and you pay for it when you need it. Webtrends, Coremetrics and Omniture, are enterprise solutions that will give you just that. Of course you will need to pay for it (very pricey). For a lower cost option, I would try GoingUp, BTBuckets and Clicky at first, and if you feel that you need better tools and advanced functionality, I suggest taking a look at Enterprise solutions. With paid analytics products you will get better support. But as you know, Google Groups and Yahoo online community support groups are very good, and you will get answers very quickly. If you need the real-time factor, take a look at BTBuckets, for the rest of us, stay with Google Analytics.
